i met this amazing girl about 6years ago at my local congregation.
i was 100% in back then.
about 3years ago i woke up spiritually and kept it undercover till a few months ago.. this girl is still very in (but she doesnt really do the things a reaaal jw should do.
I would love to hear how life is for some in my situation who got married.

i see an attitude among some people here which is not very helpful.
i can understand it, but still, it's not constructive or helpful.. if you condemn the society for not changing, but then you also condemn them when they do change in a positive way, what incentive or motive does that provide for the people at the society to ever want to change for the better?.
also, what does that attitude look like to current witnesses who are having doubts?.
To the people with this attitude: What exactly is it that you WANT the Society to do?
For starters, they should instruct the elders that if they become aware of an accusation of child molestation they should call the police ASAP.
Is that so difficult? Is the protection of children such low priority?
Even after all these years, numerous lawsuits, and millions of dollars in settlements, Watchtower Corporation still instructs elders to call the legal department at the branch for direction FIRST. Then the legal department will tell them what to do. With their current policies, Watchtower will continue to be a safe haven for child molesters.

I skimmed the 16 page "Return to Jehovah" tractazine. Pure fluff that would only attract the weakest of sheep to return to the shepherd... who will eat them.
Why don't they have chapters like: "Turn a blind eye to the pedophiles in the congregation and keep paying for the lawsuit settlements", "Sure, stories in the Bible like the flood and Solomon's temple are complete rubbish to take literally, but come back to the Kingdumb Haul anyway", "The GB are lying, false prophets, but come back to the Kingdumb Haul anyway", and "Conditional friendship as found at the Kingdumb Haul is the best kind!"
in the past i have read on this forum that the wt have a say in the "bedroom" of couples.
i thought that was a bit overkill at first, but recently i have come to conclusion that this is true.. the control administered by the wt cooperation on ones sex life is not on only intrusive, its damaging.
they control every aspect of ones thought and action, thus leading most down a path that said corporation wants them to tread.. this path is to get married young, and then eternal loyalty the the organisation.. so how can an organisation force you to get married young?.
Heaven: This prayer before sex thing would be a 100% turn off for me.

Looking back, it now absolute baffles me how as a JW you have to come up with a reason to quit being a pioneer, elder, or MS. Now that I'm in the real world, when you're working and not getting paid, they appreciate anything and everything you do. If you have to quit as a volunteer, they thank you for your service and don't block the door demanding a reason like WT Corp does. Sorry, I'm on a tangent...
Does your wife have close JW friends? How does she feel about donating money to WT and the local congregation? Sometimes little things like that can give an indication of possible relapses into WT cult mode.
i just wanted to introduce myself and say a big hello to all of my mentally diseased friends.. i say friends because i have been lurking for some time so it feels like home (us lurkers are a bit scared and cautious so it takes a while).
i won't bore you with too many details, but i am a born in, currently serving as the cobe of a congregation.
my wife and i have pioneered for the last 10 years and were shaken awake by that ridiculous 15th july 2013 wt about the generation and 1914.. my wife who is much smarter than me has questioned for years.

Regardless of whether you choose to fade or go out with a bang, the first step is to stop wasting any of your money on that mess! Let the GB beg and the local congregation have the power shut off. Save your money, and save your time. Fake field serve-us and use the time for better things... like posting here!
Ugh, just your description of still attending and feeling the frustration of being surrounded by people that are Asleep! in the false brought back my own memories of wanting to just shake JWs and make them wake up. But alas, they are still wasting their time and money on the cult.

While it is the plan to get every last cent from every child, things like this tend to be quickly forgotten by the sheeple. That's been my experience in 3 different congregations. You might be able to muster some high contributions a few months, but it would invariably drop off. But I've never been in a "rich congregation". Most of the dubs I knew made very little money and were already spending more than they were making. Few of the JW kids had any kind of part time jobs to make their own money because the cult demanded their evenings and weekends when most kids I grew up with were picking up some work.
